IFA Mourns Passing of Factoring Veteran Mike Kitchens
James Michael (Mike) Kitchens, former president of USA Funding and Fidelity Funding, passed away on June 27 at the age of 74 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.
Roger D. Marshall, an attorney in Dallas, worked with Kitchens for more than 30 years and said that “he's probably the best partner I've ever had.”
“You really have to have your eye on the ball at all times and that's what Mike did. He did his job superbly. He watched the numbers, he was very careful ... tracking the financial numbers of the company and how the portfolio was performing,” Marshall said. “He enjoyed life and you could tell he enjoyed life by the way he conducted himself every day. He was always full of life and laughter and was a joy to be around. He was a fantastic guy and did a fantastic job. And he'll be missed for sure. He was an important part of my life. I could not say enough good things about Mike. He was a beautiful person. He was totally committed to people he worked with and to the company he worked for. So that's how I would sum up Mike's life probably. He was one in a million.”
