David Jencks, Esq. Named as General Co-Counsel to the International Factoring Association

San Luis Obispo, CA, January 8, 2024 – The International Factoring Association (IFA) has named David J. Jencks, Esq. of Jencks Law, P.C. as co-general counsel to the organization. Mr. Jencks will join existing co-general counsel Steven Kurtz, Esq. partner of Levinson Arshonsky, Kurtz & Komsky, LLP, Michael Ullman, Esq. partner of Ullman & Ullman, P.A. and Robert Zadek, Esq. of counsel at Buchalter. IFA co-general counsel members play a crucial role in ensuring legal compliance, protecting the interests of the association and its members, and contributing to the overall success and sustainability of the organization.

For nearly twenty years, Mr. Jencks has been a keynote speaker at the IFA’s Annual Convention and Transportation Factoring Meeting. In addition, he has conducted various training sessions and webinars covering diverse aspects of Transportation Factoring including account management, debtor credit, technology, fraud, risk management, problem loads, billing and legal issues.

Mr. Jencks represents banks, factors, asset-based lenders and finance companies in commercial transactions and commercial litigation in state and federal courts nationwide with a particular focus on transportation factoring. He represents Factors, Brokers and Motor Carriers in transactional and litigation matters. He is a member of the Transportation Lawyers Association and Delta Nu Alpha, the professional fraternity involved in the continuing education of transportation professionals. David earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree at the University of South Dakota and he holds a Juris Doctorate from Hamline University.
