Wells Fargo Names Tom Weedall to Lead Wells Fargo Capital Finance EMEA

July 18, 2025 - Wells Fargo has appointed Tom Weedall as the new head of Wells Fargo Capital Finance for the EMEA region, where he will be responsible for directing all aspects of the company’s asset-based lending (ABL) operations. The bank’s ABL offerings are designed to provide asset-rich businesses with enhanced borrowing capacity and greater financial flexibility.

Weedall brings two decades of experience in the financial sector to the role. He previously spent five years at Wells Fargo as director and head of UK ABL originations. In 2021, he left the firm to co-found Blazehill Capital, a private credit fund, where he served as managing director. His earlier career also includes over 10 years at GE Capital, where he held a range of sales and portfolio management positions.

“I’m pleased that Tom has re-joined Wells Fargo to lead our EMEA business,” said Kurt Marsden, head of Wells Fargo Capital Finance. “His breadth of experience and market knowledge will continue to drive growth in the region and support our clients with their working capital needs.”

Commenting on his return, Weedall said, ‘I am excited to be back with Wells Fargo Capital Finance to lead the asset-based (ABL) lending business across EMEA. We have a powerful and compelling proposition, and I look forward to working with advisors, sponsors and colleagues to support existing and new clients.”
