Unloq Integrates MonetaGo Secure Financing to Strengthen Fraud Controls in Global Trade Finance

Singapore — 5 October 2026 — Unloq, a global provider of financing and technology solutions for international supply chains, is strengthening its fraud controls through an ongoing collaboration with MonetaGo. MonetaGo’s Secure Financing technology is embedded within Unloq’s trade and supply chain finance workflows, enabling the company to screen receivables for potential fraud before funds are advanced.

As trade finance becomes more connected across companies, financial institutions, technology platforms and markets, financing activity can remain fragmented across separate systems. This limits visibility into whether a receivable may have already been financed. MonetaGo’s shared validation capability gives Unloq an additional cross-institutional check while preserving the confidentiality of the underlying transaction data.

The collaboration reflects Unloq’s strategy of combining deep trade finance expertise with secure, scalable technology. By embedding validation directly into the financing process, Unloq can apply consistent fraud controls as it expands across markets without adding a separate manual step to its existing workflows.

Embedding pre-disbursement checks into the workflow

MonetaGo’s Secure Financing technology creates a unique digital fingerprint of a trade document and checks it against its fraud prevention registry for potential matches. Within Unloq’s environment, receivables can be screened for prior financing as part of the review that takes place before a financing decision is completed. Potential matches can then be examined through Unloq’s existing risk processes.

The integration gives Unloq access to validation across participating institutions and platforms without exposing the commercial details of the underlying transaction, providing broader assurance than checks limited to a single organisation's records.

Strengthening the trust layer for cross-border finance

Martina Song, Director of Strategy at Unloq, said:

“Trade finance can only scale when participants have confidence in the assets being financed. By embedding MonetaGo’s Secure Financing into our workflows, we are adding a cross-market validation layer at the point where financing decisions are made. This strengthens how we manage risk as we expand our financing capabilities and connect more participants across global supply chains.”

Neil Shonhard, CEO of MonetaGo said:

“Innovation in trade finance cannot stop at how an asset is originated, funded or settled. The infrastructure used to validate that asset has to evolve alongside it. Unloq has integrated that capability directly into its financing environment, making validation part of the transaction workflow rather than a separate process.”

Building the digital infrastructure for the future of international trade finance

The collaboration combines Unloq’s experience in trade and supply chain finance with MonetaGo’s shared fraud prevention infrastructure. Together, the companies are bringing cross-institutional validation closer to the point of financing, where potential risks can be identified before capital is deployed.

For Unloq, the integration forms part of a broader effort to build technology infrastructure that connects buyers, suppliers and financial institutions across markets while maintaining strong controls around the assets being financed. As digital trade finance grows, this combination of connected workflows and shared validation can help financing move with greater confidence across institutional and geographic boundaries.
