Suffolk County Court Delivers Prison Sentence for Advance Fee Loan Fraud Scheme

Newsday reported that a Suffolk County court judge handed down a prison sentence of five to 10 years to a man who pleaded guilty to conducting an advance fee loan fraud scheme.

Patch.com reported that the sentencing included $880,000 in restitution payments.

According to a press release from the Suffolk County district attorney’s office, Demetrios Boudourakis pled guilty to grand larceny in the second degree in June. The release also stated that the Suffolk County district attorney’s office began leading an investigation into Boudourakis’s activities in 2018, ultimately leading to his arrest in June 2019.
