REV Capital Named One of Canada’s Top Small & Medium Employers for 2025

Toronto, ON - April 8, 2025 - REV Capital (REV) has been named one of Canada’s Top Small & Medium Employers (SME) for 2025, a recognition of the company’s standard for workplace excellence, industry-leading benefits, a positive work environment, and progressive HR policies.

Winners are selected based on eight key criteria, including employee experience, training and development, and community involvement - ensuring that only the most forward-thinking and people-first organizations are celebrated. The full list of 2025 winners is featured in this year’s official announcement magazine, published in The Globe and Mail.

With SMEs driving over two-thirds of private-sector employment in Canada, this award highlights the critical role they play in shaping the nation’s workforce.

Building a Culture of Growth and Purpose

Since its founding in 2017, REV has evolved from a startup factoring company into a full-service financial partner for small and medium-sized enterprises across North America. Even as the company has experienced rapid growth, its core value has remained constant: people first.

"From day one, our vision was to build more than just a leading factoring company - we set out to create an environment where our people feel valued and empowered,” says Loren Shifrin, CEO. “The message is simple: if we treat our people well, they will treat others well, and that's exactly what we've built our foundation on.”

Today, REV employs over 80 team members across departments including Operations, Business Development, Risk & Underwriting, Client Services, and Information Technology. Headquartered in Woodbridge, Ontario, REV plays a vital role in delivering scalable B2B funding solutions to sectors such as transportation, staffing, and manufacturing.

This Year’s Employee Feedback

As part of the Canada’s Top SME application process, REV conducted a 2024 Employee Engagement Survey to gain deeper insight into workplace satisfaction, support, and overall experience. Data shows:

  • 83% of employees feel proud to work at REV, indicating a strong sense of connection and pride within the company.

  • 82% of employees feel they have access to the resources and equipment needed to do their jobs well, showing that team members feel well-supported in their roles.

  • 81% of employees would recommend REV as a great place to work, reflecting high levels of satisfaction and advocacy within the workforce.

These results came just 2 months prior to REV’s third consecutive Great Place To Work® certification, marking yet another milestone in the company’s ongoing commitment to an exceptional workplace culture.

"Being named one of Canada’s Top Small and Medium Employers isn’t just an award - it’s a testament to the culture we’ve built together,” says Susan Himelfarb, Director of Human Resources, who joined the company at a pivotal growth stage. “We’ve maintained our entrepreneurial spirit, but we’ve also reached a milestone where our focus extends beyond serving clients. We’re equally committed to investing in our people, and prioritizing work-life harmony across all levels of the organization.”

REV offers RRSP and 401K contribution matching, tuition and training reimbursement, and compassionate leave among other comprehensive benefits in their full suite of offerings. Most recently, the company launched a new parental leave top-up program and a professional development program for employees who want to pursue further training to advance their skillsets.

Looking Ahead at REV

While being named one of Canada’s Top Small & Medium Employers is an honour, REV sees it as a responsibility to continue evolving its workplace culture. Committed to attracting, developing, and retaining top talent, the company is redefining what it means to be a people-first company in the financial services industry.

"Recognition like this isn’t just about where we are today - it’s about where we’re headed,” says Shifrin. “Standing alongside so many incredible companies that share our vision is a powerful affirmation of our efforts. We will continue investing in our people, our culture, and our steadfast mission to be the best in factoring.”
