Husch Blackwell Named Free Legal Answers Leader by American Bar Association for Seventh Consecutive Year
March 17, 2025 - National law firm Husch Blackwell was recognized as a 2024 American Bar Association Free Legal Answers Pro Bono Leader by the ABA Standing Committee on Pro Bono and Public Service for the seventh consecutive year.
Each year, the committee recognizes individual attorneys, law firms, and law departments that have provided extraordinary pro bono services through ABA Free Legal Answers. In 2024, Husch Blackwell attorneys answered 439 civil legal questions, helping ensure that low-income individuals received needed legal assistance. Associate Yasmin Stiggons of Chattanooga, Tennessee, received individual ABA Free Legal Answers Pro Bono Leader recognition for the volume of questions answered in 2024.
“Free Legal Answers is an invaluable resource that helps break down barriers to justice for those who cannot afford legal help,” said Margaret Richards, Husch Blackwell’s Director of Pro Bono Services. “Through this convenient platform, we are able to provide individuals with free legal advice, and in turn are helping to bridge the gap and make legal services more accessible to everyone. This initiative not only supports low-income individuals but also empowers our attorneys to give back to the community in a meaningful way.”
In 2024, 716 Husch Blackwell attorneys and business professionals across the firm participated in performing 23,422 total hours of pro bono legal assistance, providing access to legal services to 497 organizations and 447 individuals.
