First American Equipment Finance Named a Top Workplace in New York for Seventh-Straight Year

Fortune and Great Place to Work honored First American Equipment Finance as one of this year’s Best Workplaces in New York. This is First American’s seventh consecutive year being named to this list, with the company finished in 18th place in the small and medium category.

To determine the Fortune Best Workplaces in New York list, Great Place To Work collected more than 170,000 confidential survey responses from employees at eligible companies. In that survey, 98% of First American’s colleagues said First American is a great place to work. This number is 41% higher than the average U.S. company. Honorees were selected based on their ability to offer positive outcomes for employees regardless of job role, race, gender, sexual orientation, work status, or other demographic identifier.

“We are honored to be recognized with this accolade for a seventh consecutive year,” Alan Sikora, CEO of First American, said. “My colleagues’ shared values, unparalleled work ethic and genuine camaraderie have fostered a culture that propels us to new heights each year.”

First American’s new business volume grew from $1.03 billion in 2017 to $1.87 billion in 2022. During this time, the company created 100 new positions at its Victor, NY, headquarters.

In 2022, Fortune and Great Place to Work ranked First American as a Best Workplace for Parents, a Best Workplace for Millennials, a Best Medium Workplace and a Best Workplace in Financial Services and Insurance. First American was also recognized on the 2022 People Companies that Care list. Best Companies Group named First American as the No. 1 Best Company to Work for in New York (250 or more full-time employees) earlier this year. Energage named First American the No. 1 Top Mid-Size Workplace (125 to 399 full-time employees) in Rochester, NY, and No. 6 on the Top Workplace in the United States list (150 to 499 full-time employees).
