FGI Finance Grows East Coast Presence with the Addition of Michael Weissenburger

NEW YORK, New York, April 14, 2026 – FGI Finance, a division of FGI Worldwide LLC (“FGI”), a global leader in the commercial finance industry, has announced the hiring of Michael Weissenburger as Managing Director.  

Based in Boston, Mr. Weissenburger will focus on originating new business opportunities along the East Coast for FGI Finance, FGI's asset-based lending division. He joins Meredith Campbell of FGI Risk in connecting clients throughout the region with finance and risk management solutions.

Mr. Weissenburger brings over 20 years of origination experience to his role at FGI, including sourcing and closing middle-market financing transactions across asset-based lending, private credit, junior capital, and structured equity in leadership positions at HPS (a part of BlackRock), Polen Capital, and Wells Fargo Capital Finance. He is an active member of both the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) and Association for Corporate Growth (ACG). Mr. Weissenburger holds an MBA from Northeastern University and a BA from the University of Connecticut.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
