Express Trade Capital Provides $5MM in Funding to Specialty Dog Treat Producer

Express Trade Capital provided a $4.5 million factoring facility and a $500,000 purchase order funding facility to a producer of bakery-style dog treats.

For more than 20 years, the client has provided bakery-style specialty dog treats exclusively out of its facilities in Arkansas. The company’s customer base ranges from smaller and mid-sized pet shops to big box pet retailers.

Early in 2022, the client, with prior annual sales of $8 million growing to $12 million, realized it needed help to manage cash flow gaps necessitated by increased demand from larger retail customers. The client was referred to Express Trade Capital by a current Express client. The two lines from Express Trade Capital will expand, contract and otherwise adapt based on the client’s sales revenue and history.

Ashley Orlando, vice president and director of eco-financing at Express Trade Capital, led this deal.
