Express Business Funding Provides $400k Lifeline to Waste Recycler in Distress

Toronto, Canada – February 2024 — Express Business Funding (EBF) provides a waste and recycling machinery manufacturer with a $400,000 factoring facility to provide the business with working capital.

The facility allowed the business to post a Notice of Intention and remove the threat of bankruptcy, by addressing immediate needs which created cashflow bottlenecks. While the business’ management team was proactively working to turn the business’ trajectory around, traditional banking facilities were not willing to offer the business the assistance it required to instate its plans for renewal.

“It’s no secret that traditional finance institutions are reluctant to engage businesses in distress. Alternative finance offers a creative alternative to traditional finance and offers ‘unbankable’ companies a chance to save their business. There’s proof that this way of thinking is beneficial to both financers and their customers, and this instance is an example of that,” says Fred Paatz, Founding Partner and Managing Director at EBF.

The customer has since returned to profitability and continues to utilize alternative finance solutions to garner growth.
