Crestmark Equipment Finance Hires Crain and Whitcomb

Crestmark appointed Steve Crain national account executive and Jeffrey S. Whitcomb the North American construction lead for Crestmark Equipment Finance. Crain and Whitcomb will provide financing solutions for multiple equipment types.

Crain is based in Milton GA, and will report to Arick Levine, eastern region sales manager for Crestmark Equipment Finance. Whitcomb is based in Huntington Beach, CA, and will report to Chris Emge, western region sales manager for Crestmark Equipment Finance.

Crain has 30 years of experience as a commercial finance professional. He most recently served as vice president with Prudential Private Capital, where he led commercial asset finance business development in the eastern U.S., growing earning assets through the closing of senior secured transactions with middle market and large corporate business enterprises.

Crain’s previous work history includes time as senior managing director and president at U.S. Capital Solutions, senior vice president at GE Capital and group president of structured finance at ORIX Financial Services.

“Steve has an outstanding industry reputation and brings three decades of diverse equipment financing experience to our growing team,” Levine said. “We are glad to add his strengths to our talented team as we focus on continued market growth for 2021.”

Whitcomb is a senior sales executive with a 20-year record of driving sales growth while providing sales leadership. He most recently served as vice president with Mitsubishi UFJ Lease & Finance (USA), where he was responsible for sourcing transactions in the construction and industrial industry segments.

Whitcomb’s previous work history includes time as executive director at Sumitomo Mitsui Finance and Leasing, executive vice president and director of sales at AMPCNG, and vice president and director of sales at People’s Capital and Leasing.

“Jeff has 20 years of experience in the equipment finance industry and he brings with him an impressive segment expertise in the construction and industrial markets,” Emge said. “He has a proven track record of successfully delivering creative solutions to meet customer needs and we’re excited to have him on board.”
