CIBC Welcomes New Business Development Officer to US Asset-Based Lending Team

Chicago, April 15, 2025 - CIBC today announced the addition of Ben Colley as Managing Director, Business Development Officer in its Asset-Based Lending (ABL) team. With over 12 years of asset-based lending experience in both originations and underwriting, he will lead new deal originations across the Southeast region which includes Georgia, the Carolinas, Florida, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi and Arkansas. He will also work to expand the bank’s referral source network, which includes private equity groups, investment banks, turnaround consultants, and direct prospecting.

Before joining CIBC, Colley served as a Senior Vice President at PNC Business Credit where he focused on new business development in the Southeast. Colley holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business and is an active member of the Association for Corporate Growth, Secured Finance Network, and the Turnaround Management Association. In 2021, he was included in the Secured Finance Network’s “40 Under 40” list as a rising professional in the industry.
