CapitalPlus Hires Director of Human Resources, Completes $7MM in Recent Transactions

CapitalPlus Construction Services hired Clare J. Deegan as director of human resources and business office manager. In her new role, Deegan will oversee benefits administration, A/P and A/R functions as well as all personnel management responsibilities, from recruiting and onboarding to team building and exit interviews.

“We’re excited to welcome Clare,” Brent Chambers, executive vice president at CapitalPlus, said. “With nearly two decades of experience, she brings a strong benefits and healthcare background, attention to detail, and an empathetic people-oriented demeanor. I believe her professional background, energy and vision will be an asset to the company and her forward-thinking approach will help improve services and processes.”

Before joining CapitalPlus, Deegan worked in both small and large hospitality environments, leading HR, accounting and office management efforts. She served as a human resource specialist at The Greenbrier Resort, where she handled all aspects of benefits administration, including health, retirement, disability, workers’ compensation and group life insurance, as well as union benefit negotiations. She was also previously a business office manager for ABC HealthCare.

In addition to Deegan’s hiring, CapitalPlus recently completed multiple transactions, including a $5 million factoring line to a disaster relief contractor in Louisiana, $600,000 in receivables financing to a solar installation contractor in California, $250,000 in receivables financing to a general contractor in Texas, a $150,000 factoring line to a drywall and roofing subcontractor in Florida, and $52,000 in spot factoring to a masonry and concrete subcontractor in Georgia.

CapitalPlus is a financial institution providing construction factoring and back office support services to construction companies.
